How to share a BIM file

  1. Add @bimshare_bot to telegram group

    Create or select any group chat you have created to exchange information and discuss your BIM project. Add @bimshare_bot to that group chat as a regular member. Or use a direct chat with the bot.

  2. Upload any *.ifc file

    Upload any *.ifc file to this Telegram group chat (or directly to the bot).

  3. Use the link generated by the bot

    The bot tracks the *.ifc files posted in group chat (or direct chat with this bot) and creates a link to view the 3D project and then posts it in chat.

How to review a BIM project

  1. Open the link generated by the bot

    Click the link in the group chat. The BIM project will open in a web browser.

  2. Create a viewpoint

    Rotate, cut the 3D scene, enable or disable any elements, measure distances. Then create a viewpoint. The bot will post this viewpoint to the group chat with a unique link and snapshot.

  3. Discuss this viewpoint

    Anyone in the chat can view this viewpoint in a browser by clicking on its unique link and then comment in the chat, or open and edit the snapshot as a picture in Telegram and send a comment. No external tools are required for this! All you need is a web browser or, on a mobile device, the internal browser of the Telegram app.
